Maggie is a two-time Point Foundation Scholar for 2009-2010 and 2011-2014.  The Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society.

Maggie was one of 150 LGBT Leaders of the Next Generation invited to the White House for a 2012 Summer BBQ in Vice-President Joe Biden's backyard.

Maggie was one of three Point Foundation scholars awarded a scholarship for an internship from The Point Foundation and The Palette Fund in 2012 for her work at Green Chimneys, center for LGBT homeless youth. She was awarded the same scholarship in 2013 for her work on Not Just Another Coming Out Story.

 

Maggie was a Time Warner STARs Leadership Scholar  with the support of The Point Foundation and the Palette Fund in 2010.

Maggie was accepted into the Interdisciplinary Arts Program at Goddard College and is set to graduate with a Masters of Fine Arts in 2014.

Maggie was a two-time recipient of the Evalee C. Schwarz Charitable Trust for Education award towards her schooling at Goddard College in 2011/2012.

Maggie was awarded a scholarship from the The George Heller Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Aftra Foundation towards her schooling at Goddard College in 2010/2011.

Maggie was given the Teaching Artist Award for her work at Urban Stages in 2011.

Maggie was awarded her Masters in Applied Theatre at the City University of New York as the first graduating class of the first Applied Thratre program in the country in 2010.

Maggie was awarded second place for her play, From the Inside, Out in the Hawaii Writers Conference in 2009.

 

Maggie's play, From the Inside, Out was a recipient of the Arch and Bruce Brown Grant for Playwriting in 2008.

Maggie was awarded her Bachelors in Theatre and Gender and Women's Studies with a minor in Comparative American Studies at Oberlin College in 2006.

 

Maggie was a recipient of the James McLaughlin Memorial Prize in Theatre Excellence at Oberlin College in 2006.
